In our Retirement Residences, our main focus is CHOICE. We believe that life will be better for our residents if they are given choices in their accommodations, meals and activities. Each residence offers different styles of suites from small private to larger 2 bedroom suites. We also offer you a choice at meal time. You choose what you would like to eat today. Our extensive activity program includes card games, crafts, gardening clubs, woodworking and community outings. The choice is yours to make – each and every day.

Diversicare residents have easy access to dining, housekeeping, laundry, hair salon, banking, exercise programs/activities and transportation. The presence of registered/trained personnel gives residents security and ensures they receive the highest possible level of care when needed. It is very important to all Diversicare staff that residents feel comfortable, happy, healthy and secure. We make certain that they are treated and served with respect and dignity every day. We want to help our residents remain independent to the greatest extent possible and to be seen and treated as individuals with unique needs and preferences.

All of our Ontario residences are accredited by the Ontario Retirement Communities Association (ORCA). This organization sets professional operating standards, visits and accredits retirement residences. These standards have been established by experts in the sector and focus on important operating requirements ensuring a safe, quality living environment.

The British Columbia Retirement COmmunities Association (BCRCA) is a group of owners and operators of market responsive Retirement Communities providing choice in accommodation, hospitality and personal care services. They provide leadership and networking for their members who are committed to innovation, resident choice and excellence. Diversicare is a member of the BCRCA.

Many of our communities offer trial stays which allow your loved one to experience the community and feel more comfortable and at ease during this important time of transition.

The majority of the food served to our residents is home-made from scratch in our kitchens.

Diversicare has won 2 awards for Excellence in Quality. The first in 2001 and recently in 2006.

Diversicare is the only Healthcare Management Company to have an award winning Continuous Quality Improvement program.

Most of the staff in our homes have been working there since the home opened.. We have had one employee celebrate 37 years of service.
