The Cedars at Beulah Gardens is a seniors’ residence that was built through the joint efforts of the Beulah Garden Home Society, BC Housing and the Vancouver Coastal Health Authority. It offers subsidized Assisted Living accommodation and services and is located in the northeast section of Vancouver. An Adult Day Care Center and Ambulatory Care Clinic are located on the ground floor of the Cedars building.

In order to qualify for the Cedars, seniors must be relatively independent and able to direct their own care and also must be assessed by a Case Manager from the Vancouver Coastal Health Authority. Services

The following are part of our basic service package:

• Personal Assistance, such as bathing and medication monitoring

• 24 hour emergency response

• Lunch and dinner, restaurant style, in the community Dining Room

• A variety of social activities, entertainment and bus trips

• Weekly basic housekeeping, complimentary laundry rooms

• Coffee / tea / snacks in the bistro

• Multi-denominational worship services on a rotating basis

• Hydro – charged at $15.00 / month

Features

• The Cedars is a recently built beautiful residence that is spacious and contains well appointed lounges and activity areas.         

• Menus and Activity Calendars are available in both English and Cantonese.        

• Brain Gym and More programs are regularly scheduled.
            
• Large variety of activities – a very active and fun residence.

Cost

Residents pay 70 % of their after tax income for the basic accommodation and services.

The Central Intake number, for those people already residing in Vancouver, is 604-263-7377. Providing the preliminary provincial assisted living criteria is met, you would then be referred to a case manager for assessment.
