About Us
History - Trinity Lodge was first owned and managed by the Baptist Foundation. Ownership and management has changed throughout the years, however, we have always maintained a full-time chaplain. Renovations have occurred at various intervals throughout our existence. Six years ago a four storey apartment-style building was constructed. The most recent renovation included the addition of new furnishings, window and floor coverings, Drop-in Health & Wellness Centre, Fitness Centre and spa.
Details on Philosophy and/or Mission - Diversicare Canada Management Services Co., manages Trinity Lodge with a mission of “providing opportunities for residents who are mainly older adults to live as independently as possible, for as long as they are able, in an environment that provides the highest quality of healthy emotional, social and spiritual support”.
Snapshot of Surrounding Area – Trinity Lodge is centrally located on Glenmore Trail, one block west of Elbow Drive SW, a short distance to the Chinook Shopping Centre, and an easy walk to the Rockyview Professional Building and Mayfair Shopping Plaza. Public transportation is available.
Regional Awards – Diversicare was the 2001 winner of the Canada Award for Excellence in Quality, as well as the 2006 recipient of the Order of Excellence Award presented by the National Quality Institute.

Dining Services
Residents are afforded the privilege of choosing one of four meal choices for their noon and evening meal, or if they prefer they can make a selection from an alternative menu which includes heart smart menu items.
A spring/summer menu is creatively developed for the warmer months and a fall/winter menu includes more appropriate comfort food items.
Residents are encouraged to have guests dine with them. Our Sunday Brunch is renowned for its variety and quality of food selections. We acknowledge that meals are an important part of the day in the lives of our residents and consequently have an open seating concept with a two hour window for all meals.
Breakfast Lounges afford residents an option of accessing a continental breakfast at their leisure. Light snack and refreshments are served on a daily basis in the Alberta Room at 10:00 am, 3:00 pm, and 7:30 pm. A Private Dining Room can be reserved for family functions.
Health Services
Trinity Lodge has qualified care staff in the building 24 hours per day for emergency and first aid assistance, and who provide assistance to support individual daily living activities.
Trinity residents maintain autonomy and self governance. They are encouraged to assume personal responsibility for their daily activities, knowing that the staff is here to support and assist when necessary.
Our Health & Wellness Centre offers daily drop-in times. Supportive Care Options include delivery of an array of supportive services. Daily indicator room checks for all residents are attended to by our health services staff.
Recreation & Leisure Services
Scheduled leisure activities and recreational outings assist to maintain independence, increase self-confidence, enhance socialization and encourage healthy living.

The Trinity Bus allows for day trips and outings in and around Calgary. A courtesy van provides transportation focusing on resident’s medical appointments.
Accommodations
Trinity Lodge has a total of 214 suites which include a variety of studio and one bedroom suite units. Studio suites range in size from 265 square feet to 440 square feet. The largest studio suites have kitchenettes. All one bedroom suite units have a kitchenette and many have two bathrooms. Sizes range from 460 square feet to 650 square feet.

Special Services & Amenities include:
Library – Trinity Lodge maintains a comprehensive library managed by volunteers from within the Trinity population. ‘Talking books’ and large print reading materials are provided by the Calgary Public Library.
Hair Salon Service - The Trinity Salon is opened Tuesday to Saturday from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm and caters to both men and women.
Parking - Underground secure parking is available for a nominal monthly fee. Visitor parking is located along the north side of the property.
Banking - Local banks provide convenient services at Trinity.
Tuck Shop – The Tuck Shop provides a selection of pharmaceuticals, toiletries, gifts, greeting cards, postage stamps and more. Tuck Shop hours are from 12:00 noon to 4:00 pm Monday to Friday. Medi-System Pharmacy Ltd. manages the Tuck Shop and is the designated Trinity pharmacy.
Seamstress – A seamstress is available for alterations and repairs Tuesday afternoons.
Chapel Services – A morning weekday and Sunday evening interdenominational service is offered, in addition to twice monthly Catholic mass.
Spa & Fitness Centre – Trinity’s Fitness Centre can be accessed at any time by our residents. Spa services are arranged through our Health Centre.
Guest Suite – A guest suite is available for family and friends of Trinity residents.
