The Dr. James W. Hemstock Assisted Living Residence Community consists of apartment homes, especially designed for older adults, combined with home support services and personal assistance; all designed to meet the specific needs of each individual resident. Both scheduled and emergency services are provided in a way that promotes maximum dignity and independence for each resident and involves the resident’s family and friends.

Services
The Dr. Hemstock Residence offers an on-site beauty salon, lobby postal boxes, guest suite and event catering services to create unmatched convenience and service.

Lunch and supper served daily in the dining room. A continental breakfast is available in the dining room, or breakfast supplies are provided for a casual in suite breakfast.
24 hour coffee and snack bar.
Weekly housekeeping.
24 hour emergency response and protective oversight by trained attendants.
Social and recreational activities and events organized by qualified staff.
Main lobby reception and administrative services.
Wellness clinics conducted by a professional nurse.
Accommodations
Opened in 2000, the Dr. James W. Hemstock Assisted Living Residence is Lloydminster’s premier, private retirement community, providing “assisted living for seniors”. The Dr. Hemstock is a two story wood frame apartment building containing 62 apartments ranging in size from smaller bachelor units up to two bedroom suites. Community amenity space makes up 40% of the ground floor and includes a large community dining hall, an activity room, social lounge with library, a country kitchen and a chapel.
Each apartment has a personalized entrance with apartment number and name. All apartments have a kitchenette which consists of refrigerator, stainless steel sink and upper and lower cupboards.
Each bathroom has either a bathtub with shower or walk in shower with seat.
Studio and bachelor apartments accommodate a single bed. One or two bedroom suites are designed to accommodate 2 twin or a queen sized bed.
A wireless emergency call system is installed in each apartment. All suites have conveniences such as lever door handles, individual heat controls and telephone and cable TV outlets in the living room and bedrooms.
Horizontal blinds are provided throughout.
Features Located in a park like setting in the heart of Lloydminster, Dr. Hemstock Residence is a pleasant walk to shops, restaurants, and only a short drive to many other community amenities.
